Who is responsible for your data

Who we share it with
- Suppliers and carriers. To deliver your order we pass your name, delivery address, phone number and email to our suppliers and their delivery partners. Some are located outside the EU/EEA, including in China. Where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards or the necessity of the transfer to perform your contract (Art. 46 / Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR) and share only what delivery requires.
- Payment providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal).
- Website hosting, email and analytics providers acting on our instructions.
- Revenue and other authorities where the law requires.
We never sell your data.
Basket reminder emails
If you tick the box next to your email address at checkout (“Email me a reminder if I leave without ordering”) and then leave without ordering, we store your email address, the items in your basket and the time. We send you a reminder about 1 hour later and a second about 24 hours later (two at most), with a link back to your basket. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and we never send reminders to anyone who has ordered or unsubscribed. Nothing is saved if you leave the box unticked, and unticking it removes anything saved. We delete these records after 30 days; if you unsubscribe, we keep only a one-way scrambled (hashed) copy of your address so we can honour that. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or by emailing hello@petstacio.com.
Review requests
After your order is marked as completed and has had time to arrive, we send you one email asking you to review what you bought. It has a one-click unsubscribe link, and we do not send more about that order. If you write a review, we publish your rating, your words and the name you give (for example “Aoife M.”) with a “verified buyer” label once we have checked it. You can ask us to remove your review at any time by emailing hello@petstacio.com. If you unsubscribe, we keep only a one-way scrambled (hashed) copy of your address so we do not email you again.
We list our products on Google (free product listings through Google Merchant Center). We send Google product information only: names, prices, photos and stock. We send no customer data for this. If you arrive from a Google listing, Google handles your data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We also use Google Search Console, which gives us aggregate figures on how the site appears in search, not information about individual visitors.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to processing, ask for portability, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@petstacio.com; we’ll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28 (dataprotection.ie).
Retention
Order and accounting records: 6 years. Account data: until you delete your account. Marketing: until you unsubscribe. Enquiries: up to 2 years. Basket reminder records: 30 days. Published reviews: until you ask us to remove them.
